This small island, just 3kms off the coast of Trang Province, offers an escape like no other. Trek through the jungle, explore the emerald cave, swim in clear waters and live simply with the abundant wildlife and small population of locals on this truly magical island.

Beaches and areas

With dramatic landscape, amazing beaches and friendly locals, it’s hard to leave Koh Mook. Small enough to navigate on foot, Koh Mook has two main beaches and a few, hard to get to, remote ones. Villagers live in stilted houses over the water, repairing their fishing nets and going about their daily lives. You will find convenience stores and travel shops, but no ATMs on Koh Mook.

Transport

Boats to Koh Mook will stop at a platform just off the beach and longtail boats will take you from the platform to the beach.

Things to do

Impenetrable jungle, impressive limestone cliffs and abundant wildlife inhabit the northern part of the island. Hire a longtail boat to explore little known beaches and snorkel nearby islands. Swim through complete darkness and emerge in the Emerald Cave, a beautiful hidden oasis.
