Baan Saladan Pier Area - Koh Lanta

Baan Saladan is the main tourist drop off point and Koh Lanta’s biggest town. The majority of the island’s shops, banks and facilities are found here, as well as some of the best seafood dining.

Overlooking Lanta Noi, this is where passenger ferries arrive from Krabi, Phi Phi, Phuket and Koh Lipe. There is a decent beach, which is becoming popular as new accommodation is completed. As the island’s main town, you will find all you need here.

The small but bustling town includes tour guides, dive shops, banks, supermarkets and retail outlets. The large food and souvenir market is popular with tourists and locals.

The majority of the restaurants are found on the main road, or along the channel dividing Koh Lanta Yai and Noi. Enjoy fresh seafood from one of the traditional wooden restaurants on stilts that stretch out over the sea.

Saladan can get busy at night, as visitors prefer to shop and eat in cooler temperatures. There is a wide range of cuisine to choose from, suiting all budgets. Nightlife here is limited to a few small but lively bars that entertain until the early hours.

There are a number of affordable hotels in town, and a growing number of boutique type hotels closer to the beach.
