Hat Yai Municipal Park and Cable Car - Hat Yai
A large park on the outskirts of Hat Yai set in lush jungle with religious statues, great views and a cable car.
Located around 8 km from the city center the Hat Yai Municipal Park covers the area around the Khao Kho Hong Mountain, which is covered in lush jungle.
Once inside the park you will find a lake surrounded by several temples and religious statues. A higher area is accessible by cable car (200 THB) or a hike and offers great views of the surrounding hills and downtown Hat Yai. If you are looking to take a great sunset picture of Hat Yai, this would be the place to go.
Most Travel shops in Hat Yai can organise a shared or private trip to the Municipal Park. If you go on your own it is recommend you rent a car or taxi for your visit.
Our advice: It gets very crowded in the weekend, so if you have the chance to visit it during a weekday it would be a better choice. A visit in the morning or in late afternoon has the advantage that you don’t have to endure the midday sun.
