East Railay - Krabi
East Railay is a different experience to its counterparts. Small fishing communities live among the mangroves, retaining much of their old ways of life. Yet East Railay transforms into the area’s nightlife capital in high season.
Visitors from Krabi town arrive by boat to the floating jetty when weather permits. In high season the jetty and northern end of the beach becomes the centre of Railay’s nightlife. Fire shows, live music and dance music continue to the early hours.
A new walkway runs the length of the narrow beach, continuing 2kms past the previous endpoint. Perfect for a stroll or jog, a few restaurants are beginning to take advantage of the new development.
Well-priced, family-run restaurants and hotels dot the beach. Simple bungalows, restaurants and shops are also on the path that leads to Railay West.
There are Rock climbing tour operators and schools at the northern end of the beach. The glistening Diamond Cave can be reached from here.

Krabi Town
Krabi, the provincial capital, is a small market town located near the Andaman coast. Nestled among iconic limestone rock formations, thick mangroves and jungle, this small town’s vibrant culture and authentic charm are worth a few days exploration. Krabi is also the gateway to the famous beaches and islands that make up the province. Local and international tourists flock to Krabi to use as a base for their travels.
West Railay
Rock-climbers and sun-worshippers alike seek out this near perfect beach for its famous limestone cliffs and world-class hotels. Climbing not your thing? There's volleyball, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkelling, swimming and diving. The long sandy beach offers perfect sunbathing spots for those who want to do as little as possible. Comfortable and shady hammocks adorn the beachside bars.
