Rock climbing - Koh Yao Yai
You can take a day trip over to the smaller island of Koh Yao Noi. Fast becoming renowned for climbing, there are over 50 bolted routes of varying difficulties.
The island’s only climbing centre is located at Tha Khoa pier. They offer guided trips and training, as well as guide books for those who prefer to climb solo.
There are two main climbing areas – one accessible by road, the other by boat. The stunning vertical limestone cliffs and lush jungle make climbing here an unforgettable experience. Routes cater to all levels of climber including advanced grades.
Koh Yao Noi is relatively new to the climbing scene, and most routes remain quiet compared to its more famous neighbours in Krabi.
