Scuba diving - Koh Yao Noi

Phang Nga Bay is famous for diving – with incredible scenery, limestone walls, abundant sea life and clear water.

There is at least one diving centre on Koh Yao Noi, offering trips and training to suit all experience levels. Koh Yao Noi is close to many famous dive sites so you have the option of half and full day trips.

Popular diving spots include Shark Point for its frequent sighting of leopard sharks. Featuring 3 huge coral-covered limestone pinnacles, there is a diverse variety of fish including Lion fish, Puffer fish, Angelfish, Snapper, Groupers and more.

King Cruiser Wreck is a car ferry shipwreck located about 400 metres from Shark Point. The King Cruiser ferry sank in 1997, and is now home to a variety of marine life such as Moray eels, Snapper Lion Fish.

Another popular site is Anemone Reef, a limestone pinnacle that reaches depths of 30 metres. Anemone and Clownfish are in abundance, as are schools of Snapper and Barracuda.

Koh Doc Mai (Flower Island) is a nearby island named for the colourful coral found near this ‘wall dive’. Divers often see Seahorses, Anemones and Ghost Pipefish.

Longer trips take in the famous diving sites of Koh Phi Phi. Cave and wall dives explore the huge variety of marine life in these waters.
