Pattaya Beach - Koh Lipe
White sand, clear water, good snorkelling and vibrant nightlife, Koh Lipe’s largest beach is busy and exciting.
The water is deep all year so Pattaya Beach is the perfect drop off point for visitors to the island. You can swim in roped off areas or if you’re more adventurous the rocky headlands are great for snorkelling. There are various activities during the day including volleyball, kayaking and boat trips.
Pattaya Beach is Lipe’s centre for entertainment. The dozen or more bars and restaurants cater to most tastes and budgets. You’ll find many of them near the entrance to Walking Street, which meets with the beach.
Lipe’s immigration checkpoint, police station and national park office are located here. A military camp sits in the hilltops at the eastern end of the beach.
Accommodation varies from basic huts to luxury, with a tendency towards high-end hotels.
At night the beach comes to life with live music, fire shows, dancing and clubbing until the early hours.
If you like a bustling and lively environment Pattaya beach is for you. If you’re looking for a quiet escape, take a look at the beaches on the eastern side of the island.
