Kitesurfing - Phuket
Kitesurfing is a popular sport on most of Phuket’s beaches. The shallow waters and gentle breeze on the Southeast coast is perfect for beginners, while the Northwest beaches provide the perfect environment for experienced kitesurfers looking for a thrill.
Phuket has one of the longest windy periods in Thailand, offering perfect conditions for kite surfers at all levels. The best time to kitesurf is June to August and December to February when skies are generally clear, the sea is calm and rain is limited.
The best locations to kitesurf vary depending on the time of year and your level of expertise. Generally speaking, the calm waters at the Southern end of the island are perfect for beginners. The Northwest beaches are windier and offer a more exciting ride for those with experience.

Kitesurfing schools are located on most beaches, many are well established with good reputations.
